Mike Love, Superintendent, PCL

Mike Love is a seasoned construction expert with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Joining PCL as a field engineer in 2011, he has ascended through the ranks within the past 12 years to become a respected superintendent. Leading a workforce of over 250 tradespeople, Mike is now PCL’s lead superintendent at George Brown College’s Limberlost Place managing all aspects of the project’s field construction, scheduling and budget, while maintaining safety on site. As a key member of the team, Mike contributes his strong communication, collaboration and technical abilities to bring to life the vision of Ontario’s first mass-timber, net zero institutional building.

A Gold Seal certified professional, Mike holds an Honours Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree from the University of Waterloo and a Diploma of Architectural Technology from Sheridan College. His journey is marked by a diverse portfolio of projects and contract types, showcasing his versatility. Mike’s expertise lies in his proficiency with complicated design-build projects, joint venture partnerships and complex, occupied work environments, often characterized by tight schedules in sensitive mission-critical facilities. His remarkable track record reflects his commitment to excellence.


Ryan Going, Project Manager, Pommerleau

Ryan Going, P.Eng. is a construction manager with experience delivering large-scale buildings and civil projects across industrial, institutional, commercial and healthcare markets in Canada and the UK. As a project manager with Pomerleau, Ryan is currently managing the delivery of the Academic Wood Tower for the University of Toronto, which at 14 storeys and 76m is the tallest wood structure under construction in Canada. Ryan is also a founding member of Pomerleau's National Wellbeing Committee which focuses on improving mental health supports for Pomerleau's 4000+ employees across the country. Ryan is a member of the Toronto Construction Association's Young Construction Leaders (YCL) Executive committee. Ryan was named as one of Canada’s top 40 under 40 construction professionals in 2023 by OnSite magazine.
